Patterson's proposed $825 million budget calls for tax decrease, employee pay increases in Oakland County
Kirk Pinho - Oakland County’s proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year calls for a 0.05-mill property tax cut, the second phase in a planned 0.15-mill levy reduction, Executive L. Brooks Patterson announced earlier this year in his annual State of the County address. Patterson said in February that the tax cut, which would bring the county tax rate to 4.04 mills, would save county taxpayers $75 million
